2 /) A trapezium, also known as a trapezoid, is a quadrilateral in which a pair of sides are parallel, but the other pair of opposite sides are non-parallel. The area of a trapezium is computed with the following formula: Area = 1 2 × Sum of parallel sides × Distance between them .

so here 1/2 × (1.5+8)×14 = 66.5m2.

3/) area = 360m2

distance between parallel lines = 20m

one of the parallel line = 25m

360 =1/2×(a+25)×20

a=360×2-25÷20=715
