Differences between aerobic and anaerobic respiration : -

Aerobic respiration

⇒ Occurs in the presence of oxygen .

Anaerobic respiration

⇒ Occurs in the absence of oxygen .

Equation :

Aerobic respiration

C₆H₁₂O₆ + 6 O₂ ===========> 6 CO₂ + 6 H₂O

Anaerobic respiration

C₆H₁₂O₆ + enzymes ======> 2 C₂H₅OH + 2 CO₂
