Answer:

MITOSIS

  • Mitosis takes 1 hour in human beings.
  • It consumes less than 5% time of cell cycle.
  • It is the most dramatic phase.
  • It is also called as division phase.

It has four phases

  1. Prophase

It is the longest phase of mitosis.

2. Metaphase

In this phase we studies about chromosome.

3.Anaphase

It is the shortest phase of mitosis.

4.Telophase

Reverse of prophase

1.Prophase

  • Assemble of microtubules.
  • Condensation of chomosome (start).
  • Nuclear membrane , nucleus, endoplasmic reticulum, golgi complex are disappear.

2. Metaphase

  • Condensation complete.
  • Study of chromosome .
  • In this phase chromosomes are thickest, shortest and highly condensed.
  • In this phase metaphase plate or equator is formed.

3. Anaphase

  • It is the shortest phase.
  • Shape of chromosome are studies in this phase . (V, L , J and I shape)
  • Splitting of chromosome form cemtromere.
  • Chromosome move to opposite pole.
  • Chromosome number becomes double.
  • Arms towards equator.
  • Centromere towards pole.

4 . Telophase

  • Reverse of prophase.
  • Chromosome lost their identity and form chromatin.
  • Nuclear membrane, nucleolus, endoplasmic reticulum and golgi complex are reappear.
