Solution :

Let the sides of  Trapezium is 5x and 3x

We have Given ,

Height  = 16 cm

Area of trapezium is 960 cm^2

Find the value of x

Area of trapezium = 1/2 ( a + b) * h

⇒ 960 = 1/2 ( 5x  + 3x ) * 16

⇒ 960 = 1/2 ( 8x) * 16

⇒ 960 = 8x * 8

⇒ 64x = 960

⇒ x = 960/64

⇒ x = 15

Substitute the value of x

5x

⇒ 5 * 15

⇒ 75

3x

⇒ 3 * 15

⇒ 45

Therefore , 75 and 45 are our  required length of parallel sides
