In a world filled with so much judgement, hatred, and violence, it's often difficult to look past that and view the world as a kind place. Even if the world around you seems like it will never be a peaceful, loving place, you can still make a small difference. Sure, a single person can't stop people from being mean or violent towards each other, and world peace is not within one person's reach. However, what we all can do to promote peace, love, and a general respect for others is practice random acts of kindness. An act of kindness, no matter how small, can have such a powerful ripple-effect on others. When people are treated with kindness, they will often convey that same kindness towards others and before you know it, you've impacted quite a few people. No act of kindness is menial or unimportant; anything done with kindness is significant and beneficial to our world today. Here are some small ways to make a big difference.

YOU CAN CHANGE SOMEONE’S LIFE

A random act of kindness could just lift a person’s spirits, or you might even change their whole way of thinking. You never know the path another is on, and your random act of kindness has the potential to totally alter that path for the better. The butterfly effect is in full swing here; an act of a moment’s length could have positive repercussions for a lifetime.

KINDNESS IS A CYCLE

Quite simply put; it’s contagious! A seemingly innocuous act of compassion, and you’ve started a cycle of kindness.

IT MAKES YOU HAPPY

Research has shown through brain scans that even just thinking about helping others activates the Mesolithic pathway in the brain, which produces the feel-good chemical dopamine. Being kind really does make us happy; although please, don’t just think it! Act.

IT REDUCES STRESS

Doing good does you good. Being kind to someone else has been shown to greatly enhance our mental well-being. According to research it also makes you feel more satisfied with life. How does being kind make us healthier? One theory is that it increases our mental well-being by lowering the amount of stress hormones we produce.

Kindness is a wonderful way another struggling soul know that there is still love in this world.

Be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle!

Be kind whenever possible. It is always possible.

HOPE IT HELPS!
