Let units's digit be x
Since the product of its digits is 12, its ten's digit = 12/x

then, number =
10 *  (\frac{12}{x})+ x

-----------------------------

When 36 is added, digits are interchanged, number becomes 10x +  \frac{12}{x}

⇒ 10x +  \frac{12}{x} (10 * \frac{12}{x} + x) + 36

⇒ 10x +  \frac{12}{x}  \frac{120}{x}  + x + 36

⇒ 10x² + 12 = 120 + x² + 36x

⇒ 10x² - x² - 36x + 12 - 120 = 0

⇒ 9x² - 36x - 108 = 0

⇒ x² - 4x - 12= 0

⇒ x² - (6 - 2)x - 12 = 0

⇒ x²  - 6x + 2x - 12 =  0

⇒ x(x - 6) + 2(x  - 6) = 0

⇒ (x - 6)(x + 2) = 0

               By Zero product rule

x = 6   or  x = -2

Taking +ve , x = 6

===============================

unit's digit = 6

ten's digit = 12/x = 12/6 = 2

number = 26

i hope this will help you
