Answer:

hey your answer is as follows

so pls mark it as brainliest

so here we go

Step-by-step explanation:

now let the length of cloth be x meter and cost of each meter of cloth be y rs

so thus total cost=cost of each meter of cloth×length of cloth

=xy

so according to first condition

xy=75

ie x=75/y (1)

according to the second condition

(x+4)(y-5)=75

ie xy-5x+4y-20=75

ie 75-5×75/y+4y-20=75 from (1)

so 75 gets eliminated on both sides

ie -375/y+4y-20=0

so multiplying throughout by y

we get

4y square-20y-375=0

ie 4y square-50y+30y-375=0

so 2y(2y-25)+15(2y-25)=0

ie (2y-25)(2y+15)=0

ie 2y=25 or 2y=-15

so y=25/2 or y=-15/2

so y=12.5 or y=-7.5

but as length dimensions are never negative

y=-7.5 is absurd

thus y=12.5 m

substitute value of y in (1)

we get x=6 Rs

hence the cloth is 12.5 m long
