By observing the given picture:

1) seg. PT ≅ seg. ST .... congruent sides (Given)

2) ∠ PTQ ≅ ∠ STR ..... (Vertically opposite angles).

3) seg. TQ ≅ seg. TR .... congruent sides (Given)

4) ∴ Δ PTQ ≅ Δ STR .... (Side Angle Side) Test

  • In SAS Rule, If two sides and angle of one triangle are equal to the corresponding sides and angle of another triangle, then the triangles are said to be congruent to each other.

5) ∴ ∠ TPQ ≅ ∠ TSR (corresponding angles of congruent triangles)

6) ∴ seg. PQ ≅ seg. SR (corresponding sides of congruent triangles).
