I would like to tell you that love is not only between two opposite gender people but love is the care and compassion for any person . Love connects us to other people building trust . Whereas Fear is something tht limits you, wether it may be towards your goal or someone special .
In your question the god and us are connected through a bond which is love but if one has dought and is scared to trust god then this can not be termed as love.
Trust is must in love and thus love and fear can not coexist.
