The kittiko hachchiko movement took place in the year 1987.the meaning of kittiko-hachchiko is to pluck and to plant.and in 1984 the govt of karnataka had set up a company called karnataka pulp wood company and about 30,000 hectares of land was given freely to construct this.but this land was used by the farmers for cultivating the different types of crops/grazing their cattle.but the company has planted many eucalyptus trees as they are helpful for making pulp.in 1987 kittiko hachchiko movement a non violet protest took place.the people started to pluck the eucalyptus trees and started to plant different saplings of trees. This is the movement of kittiko hachchiko. Hope this helps u
