Pluto was discovered by Clyde W. Tombaugh on 18 Feb 1930. Till July 2006 it was considered as the ninth planet of solar system.
After the research of International Astronomical Union in August 2006 it declare that Pluto is a dwarf planet.

Clyde W. Tombaugh, an American astronomer discovered Pluto in 1930. From 1930 till 2006, it was considered to be the ninth planet from the Sun but in 2006, Pluto is no longer considered a planet because it has not yet cleared the neighborhood of its orbit in space.
