1) chemical properties

2) atomic masses

B)According to Mendeleev's pereodic table ...the properties of elements are the periodic function of their atomic masses

C)hydrogen likean alkali metal combines with halogens and being a diatomic molecule combines with metal and nonmetal .....

Atomic size decreases as we move from left to right...

Atomic size increases down a group.... Due to increase in nuclear charge....

    chemical properties possessed  of the element

b) the properties of the element are the periodic functions of their atomic masses.

c) because the properties of hydrogen was not clearly known as they resembled the properties of the alkali metals and halogens too.

d) i. atomic size decreases.

  ii.  atomic size increases.
