Given Equation : 4x - 7y + 12 = 0

Also,

  • Value of x = 3k - 2
  • Value of y = 2k

To find : Value of k

 \huge \bf <   -  - \vdots \:  \mathbb{SOLUTION}

Putting the (given)values of x and y in the (given)equation, we get,

 \rm{}4x - 7y + 12 = 0 \\  \to\bf 4(3k - 2) - 7(2k) + 12 = 0 \\  \bf \to12k - 8 - 14k + 12 = 0 \\ \to\bf  \:  \: (12 - 14)k - 8 + 12 = 0 \\ \to\bf \:  \:  \:  - 2k + 4 = 0 \\  \to\bf \:  \:  \:  - 2k =  \:  - 4\\  \\ \to\bf \frac{\cancel{ - 2}k}{ \cancel{- 2}}  =  \:  \frac{ \cancel- 4}{ \cancel- 2}  \\  \\   \to\bf \:  \:  \: k =  \frac{4}{2}  \:  \:  \sf   \: =  \red2

Thus,

  • Value of k is 2

So,

  • Option (i) is correct answer.
