viruses r the organisms that depend on the host for their survival as they r their main source of nutrition. they r inactive outside but become active once they enter living being. viroids r smaller than viruses. they r responsible for potato spindle disease in potatoes. lichens r formed due to the symbiotic relationship between fungi and algae.
