If nitrogen is absent in our atmosphere our cells will die, cause 60โ„…of our cells made up of nitrogen.Now consider molecular nitrogen presents and atmospheric nitrogen is absent. Now what happens is the earth gets heated up to the level you never imagined. The ponds and lakes will be dry in few days. You need to drink hell lot of water, even though survival will be hard. Atmospheric pressure will get rised.Every plants and trees will die due to the absence of nitrogen.

To keep balance in the environment we need other gases too, as like oxygen.
