-)Atoms are positively charged when they share their electrons.

-)Atoms are negatively charged when they gain some electrons.

-) Atoms are electrically neutral because they consists of equal number of positively charged protons and negatively charged electrons which cancel eachother to make atoms neutral.

-)Acids are those chemical substances which give hydrogen ions when dissolve in water.for example: HCL,HNO3 etc.

-) Metallic oxides and hydroxides are called base. for example: NaOH, KOH etc.

-)Salt is a chemical substance which is formed by partial or complete replacement of hydrogen ion of an acid molecule by a metal or ammonium radical. for example: Nacl.

-)A solid is a sample of matter that retains its shape and density when not confined.

-) A liquid is a nearly incompressible fluid that conforms to the shape of its container but retains a (nearly) constant volume independend of pressure. It is the only state with a definite volume but no fixed shape.

-)A gas is a sample of matter that conforms to the shape of a container in which it is held and acquires a uniform density inside the container, even in the presence of gravity and regardless of the amount of substance in the container. If not confined to a container, gaseous matter, also known as vapour , will disperse into space .The term gas is also used in reference to the state or condition of matter having this property.
