Here is your answer..

Solution:-
Mass of boy =50kg
Velocity=5m/s

Mass of trolley=20kg
Velocity=1.5m/s

Now,
By using Conservation law of momentum:-

$= > mv = m1v1 + m2v2 \\ = > 70 \times v = 50 \times 5 + 20 \times 1.5 \\ = > 70v = 250 + 30 \\ = > 70v = 280$
$= > v = \frac{280}{70} \\ = > v = 4$
Hence,
4m/s is their common velocity.
