Area  of ABCD (garden)= 500 × 250

                          = 125000 m²

Area of  PQRS = 250 × 8

                         = 2000 m²

Area  of  FGHI = 500 × 8

                        = 4000

Area of  orange  field = 8 ×8

                                      = 64 m²

Now,  if  we  add  area of  FGHI and  PQRS , we  will have  two times  area  of  orange  field ,

Hence,

Area  of  crossroad = 4000+2000 - 64

                                 =   5936 m²

Area  of  garden  excluding  crossroad = 125000 - 5936

                                                                  = 119064 m²
