Let us take a common say 9 as x

Substitute in this identity (X + A) (X + B) = x² + X(A+B) +AB

(9 + 0.7) ( 9 +0.8) = 9² + 9 ( 0.7 +0.8) +0.7 *0.8

= 81 + 9( 1.5) + 0.56
= 81+ 13.5 + 0.56
= 94.50 +0.56
= 95.06

Hope it helps!!
Cheers!!
