Answers
raw materials required for photosynthesis- co2, h2o, sunlight, chlorophyll.
The green dot like structures are chloroplasts. They are green because of the presence of chlorophyll.
Saliva is the liquid substance that makes us mouth watery. It contains certain enzymes,98% water, and some other substances. Its source are submaxillary gland , sublingual gland, paratoid gland.
lt plays an important role in digestion of food. The salivary amylase(a type of enzyme) which is present in it is responsible for the breakdown of starch to simpler sugars.
Final product after the digestion of carbohydrates:- glucose(simpler sugar).
Small intestine of herbivores is longer than the small intestine of carnivores , because the food eaten by herbivores contains cellulose and it takes long process to digest.
(a) Digestive enzymes are responsinble for the breakdown of complex food to simpler one.
(b) Hcl acid in the stomach makes the food acidic so that pepsin can act on the food and break down complex protein into simpler one.
(c) Villi are the finger like structure that are present in our small intestine, these structures increases the surface area for the absorption of digested food. These structures are richly supplied with blood vessels.
TWO FUNCTIONS OF STOMATA
- Exchange of gases takes place through these pores.
-Plant loses water through these pores .
REGULATION OF OPENING AND CLOSING OF STOMATAL PORES BY GUARD CELLS
- When the water enters into the guard cells by osmosis it swells up and resulting the opening of stomata.
- When the water moves out by osmosis
from the guard cells then the cells shrinks up and resulted the closing of stomata.
NO, THE PLANT WILL DIE IN FEW DAYS. The plant will die in few days because :-
- No exchange of gases will take place.
- Loss of water by the plant will not take place
- And ,if there is no exchange gases takes place then no phtosynthesis will take place.
-If the concentration of co2 in the plant will be high then it will also not last for long time.
AUTOTROPHIC NUTRITION
The mode of nutrition in which inorganic substances are taken inside the body and organic compounds are produced.
The autotrophs produces their food therefore they are called producers.
For eg:- green plants , algae.
HETEROTROPHIC NUTRITION
It is the mode of nutritionin which organic compounds are taken inside the body.
Heterotrophs depends on producers.
Types of heterotrophic nutrition :-
Holozoic nutrition
Parasitic nutrition
Saprotrophic nutrition
For eg:- animals, bacteria etc.
