in my view the problem is

In what time a 120 meter long (may be train) running at a velocity of 40 kmph will cross another 80 meter long train coming from opposite direction at a velocity of 32 kmph.

the solution of above problem will be as below

net resultant speed = (40+32)

= 72 kmph

= 72*5/18 mps

= 20 mps

total distance to be covered = (120+80) m

= 200 m

time taken = distance / time

= 200/20

= 10 second.
