 \huge \underline \mathfrak{Solution} :-

Given, % of boys is 60%

So, % of girls = 100% - 60% = 40%

Given, number of girls is 972

Let the total students be x students (It is important to find the total number of students to find the total number of boys)

40% of x = 972

\dfrac{40}{100} × x = 972

➾ x = 972 × \dfrac{100}{40}

➾ x = 2430

∴ Total number of students is 2430

Total number of boys = Total number of students - Total number of girls

So, let the total number of boys be b

➾ b = 2430 - 972

➾ b = 1458

∴ The total number of boys = 1458

linksi: a great thanks to you
