when the vacant space between liquid is decrease it is converted into solid as the molecules come closer it form solid
we can do it by increasing pressure and decreasing temperature so that molecules come closer

When a liquid is heated, the molecules move rapidly and thus the molecules gain enough kinetic energy to overcome the inter molecular forces of attraction and become separated. So, the inter molecular space increases and substances from liquid state changes into gaseous state.
