crocodile tears means tears or expression of sorrow which are insincere. that means that person is crying without any emotions...or just to pretend..

it is said so because people say...crocodiles weep while catching there prey...and they have lachrymal glands like humans but they cry just to lubricate there eyes...and not because of sorrow or pain...there crying is emotionless
