In first figure, there are 5 square

area of square is =side *side

= 3*3

= 9cm

we have 5 square, so = 5*9cm

=45cm

In second figure ,there are 3 rectangle in which - two rectangles are same and one is different.

area of rectangle is = L*B

= 5*1

= 5

so, the two rectangle which are same then 5*2

=10

and the other 3*1

= 3

so ,3+10 = 13
