2x-3y=2

on adding we get

4x=16

x=4

and 2x+3y=14

Answer:

xy = 8

Step-by-step explanation:

Given Equations are 2x + 3y = 14 and 2x - 3y = 2.

On Squaring & subtracting, we get

⇒ (2x + 3y)² - (2x - 3y)² = 14² - 2²

⇒ 4x² + 9y² + 12xy - 4x² - 9y² + 12xy = 196 - 4

⇒ 12xy + 12xy = 192

⇒ 24xy = 192

⇒ xy = 8.

Therefore, Value of xy = 8.

Hope it helps!
