plz answer fast it's urgent distinguish between minimizing a window and closing a window

While minimizing the application is still running in the background but after closing it is will consume any RAM

minimising window ;is alternatively refers to collapse box ,minimise button ,minimise box ,minimise is an action in GUI operating system to hide a window but keep the program running in the background.
while closing window; n computing closed means to finish work in data file and save it.
