Area of sector is

 \frac{90}{360}  \times \pi {r }^{2} \\  \frac{1}{4}  \pi {r}^{2}  \\  \frac{1 \times 36 \times 2}{4} \pi \\ 18\pi

square inside circle having diagonal = radius=6√2

so 6√2=a√2

a=6

so length of sides of square=6

area of square=6×6=36

area of shaded region=area of sector-area of square

18\pi - 36 \\ 56.52 - 36 \\ 20.52

area of shaded region =20.52
