HEY MATE YOUR ANSWER IS HERE....

★ SOLUTION ★

ACCORDING TO THE QUESTION WE HAVE TO DIVIDE 64 IN 2 PARTS SO THERE WOULD BE RATIO OF 3:1

LET THOSE TWO PARTS BE 3X AND X

HENCE :-

X + 3 X = 64

SO,

4X = 64

THUS ,

X = 16 ------- Eq 1

NOW ACCORDING TO Eq 1

3X = 3(16) = 48

AND

X = 16

THUS , TWO PARTS IN 3:1 ARE

48 AND 16

THANKS FOR YOUR QUESTION HOPE THIS HELPS

Answer:

ANSWER

LET ONE PART BE X AND THE OTHER PART BE Y .

THEREFORE ;

ACCORDING TO THE GIVEN CONDITIONS ,

X + Y = 64 -----(1)

X = 3Y -----(2)

SUBSTITUTING EQ (2) IN EQ (1)

3Y + Y = 64

4Y = 64

Y = 16 -------(3)

SUBSTITUTING EQ (3) IN EQ (2)

X = 3(16)

X = 48

THEREFORE ONE NUMBER IS 16 AND THE OTHER NUMBER IS 48 .

EXTRA

  • THIS IS AN EXAMPLE OF PAIR OF LINEAR EQUATIONS .
  • THIS IS CALLED SUBSTITUTION METHOD .
