Explanation:

let rahul age=5x

haroon age= 7x

four years later their ages will be,

rahul= 5x+4

haroon=7x +4

according to the question,

5x+4+7x+4=56

12x+8=56

12x=48

x=48/12

Hence,x= 4

putting the value of x ...we get that,

Rahul's age=5x=5(4)= 20 years

Haroon's age =7x=7(4)=28 years
