Answer:

A is nucleus

Differentiate b/w plasma membrane and cell wall

(Please read carfully everything is their below)

-->Plasma Membrane is also known as Plasma Lemma, or Cell Membrane is the phospholipid layer present in all types of cells, it is very fragile of only 5-10nm thickness, while Cell Wall is found in the plant cell, bacterial and fungal cell and is made up of cellulose, peptidoglycan, and chitin respectively. It has thickness 4- 20um and is rigid.

Plasma Membrane is metabolically active and living, while Cell wall is metabolically inactive and non-living; Plasma Membrane requires nutrition to grow while Cell wall doesn’t require nutrition to grow.

Plasma Membranes are semipermeable and have receptors which help in cell-cell communication, whereas Cell wall is completely permeable and does not have any receptors.

Plasma Membrane protects protoplasm and checks the entry of molecules. Hence it is a semi-permeable membrane, also helps in cell-cell communication; while Cell wall provides rigidity and protection from external shock to the cell.

what would happen if the cell is placed in the hypotonic solution

If you place an animal or a plant cell in a hypertonic solution, the cell shrinks, because it loses water ( water moves from a higher concentration inside the cell to a lower concentration outside ). A single animal cell ( like a red blood cell) placed in a hypotonic solution will fill up with water and then burst.
