Subject: Decline in the number of foreign tourists in the country
I am writing this letter to bring to your attention a sudden drop in the number of foreign tourists in the country. As you may already know that a major source of income for the government of India is tourism and if its rates decline the country's state will too.
There may be many reasons for this but the main reason might be the poor maintenance of the tourist sites. It is very important to keep the area around the touristic places clean to attract more people to come towards it as it not only makes the area more hygienic but also brings out the true beauty of the place.
The rush as touristic places is also a nuisance, people tend to fall and get hurt and also a lot pick pockets tend to happen in the fall. This is not a very welcoming environment that people would like to visit.
I suggest the government keeps the area around the sights clean and put litter boxes all around so that the crowd avoids throwing litter all over.
And about the crowd, the people working should make a proper system where everyone is to be let inside the site in a well mannered way.
It would be very helpful if you publish an article regarding this issue in your esteemed daily as it would draw the governments attention and attract more foreigners to the country.
