muhammad bin tuqhlaq changed the currency from gold and silver to bronze and the patterns on the coins were easy to duplicate and after some time he withdrew the copper and bronze currency and promised to pay their weight in gold,this resulted in the emptying to the whole treasury

he shifted the capital from delhi to devagiri and told the people to move to devagiri,once the capital was shifted he found out that there this was a mistake and ordered the people to move back to delhi. thousands of people died due to this
