ANSWER

>> The molecules formula of sulphur is given to be S8 ( it Contains 8 atoms of sulphur ). So , the molecular mass of sulphur molecule is 32 × 8 = 256 u. This means that 1 mole of sulphur molecules is equal to 256 grams.

No. Of moles are 2
No.of atoms are 2×6.022×10^23

ornitho118: Its correct
ornitho118: It's not S but S8
ornitho118: Please recheck...
khushirana1723: yes this is approximately right
khushirana1723: plz tell me how
ornitho118: MM of S8 is 256 amu and not 32
khushirana1723: plz give a detailed answer in any of my other non answered questions
ornitho118: So (mass given/molar mass) is 64/256 = 1/4
ornitho118: So number of moles can be found by mass given/molar mass formula, here mass given is 64 gms and molar mass is mass of a single atom into number of atoms, which is 32×8 (As it is S8) so these values can be taken...
ornitho118: Hope this helps
