There are two principle used to preserve food.they are,
- Inhibiting the Enzyme activity.
- Removal of Microorganisms or Inactive them.
For boiling : Boil food at high temperature to inhibit the enzyme activity and remove Microorganisms.
For Canning : Heating them in a high temperature to inhibit enzyme reaction and Microorganism growth.
For Freezing : Lowering the temperature to inhibit enzyme reaction and Microorganism growth.
For Dehydration : Removing the moisture to inhibit enzyme reaction and Microorganism growth.
