Given  :   x -3  is a factor  of  k²x³  - kx²  + 3kx  - k

To find : Value of k

Solution:

x - 3   is a factor of

k²x³  - kx²  + 3kx  - k

=> x = 3  will result in to 0

=> k²3³  - k3²  + 3k(3)  - k = 0

=> 27k² -9k  + 9k  - k = 0

=> 27k²  - k = 0

=> 27k² = k

=> 27k = 1

=> k = 1/27

k = 1/27  if x -3  is a factor  of  k²x³  - kx²  + 3kx  - k
