to balance a plate of mass 10gm on a certain height horizontally from the earth's surface 10 bullet per sec of 5gm each are bombarded. calculate the velocity of bullet if they r returned with the same velocity after impact (g=10m/s²)

Force of gravity downwards = mg = 0.01 . 9.8 = 0.098 N
This must be balanced by the force from the bullets upwards
F = ∆mv / ∆t = 10 . 0.005 . 2V / 1 ( 2 V because the bullets rebound with the original speed giving a total change in velocity of 2V)
0.1 V = 0.098
V = 0.98 m/s
