Explain the theme of the poem "The seven stages of a man". "The seven stages of a man" by William Shakespeare. To say that "All the world's a stage, / And all the men and women merely players," does seem to reduce humanity's relative importance, or at least the importance of each of us as individuals.
What can one learn from this? Well, I feel Jacques in his speech is simply trying to tell us that life shouldn’t be taken too seriously because at the end of the day we still die and fade away anyways. His description of the seven stages from the birth of man to the death of man just makes for more understanding of how our growth and choices in life affect and are linked to anything and everything we do.
I hope this was helpful
