1. Given, PQ = PR

since, angle R = angle Q

(angle opposite to equal side are equal)

hence angle Q = 70°.

2. BC ^2 = AC^2 - AB^2

( By Pythagoras theorem)

= 5^2 - 3^2

= 25 - 9

=16

BC = 16 = 4 cm

Similarly , CD =4 cm

Now , in triangle ABC and triangle ADC ..

AB= AD ,

AC =AC ,

BC = CD

also,,, all angles are equal

Angle B = Angle D

angle BAC = angle CAD ( AC is bisector )

angle BCA = angle ACD

( If two angles are equal of two triangle then third angle is also equal)

Since ,, triangle ABC = triangle ADC

AND , BC = CD = 4cm.
