The x co-ordinate of a point is the distance of that point from y axis and the Y co-ordinate of a point is the distance of that point from x axis.

Now, the distance of of every point on x axis from x-axis itself is 0 units. So,the y coordinate of every point on x axis is 0.

So,

If we represent the X co-ordinate of any point on the x-axis by variable x

the y-coordinate will be zero

so the point will be in the form of (x,0) .
