Answer:

k/3 = 8

Step-by-step explanation:

5^(n-2) = 5^n ÷ 5² ......1

given equation

5^n - 5^(n-2) = (k/25) × 5^n

putting value of 5^(n-2) from equation 1

we get,

5^n - [ 5^n ÷ 5² ] = (k/25) × 5^n

[ (5^n × 5²) - 5^n ] ÷ 5² = (k/25) × 5^n...{taking LCM on LHS}

[ (5^n) ( 25-1) ] ÷ 25 = (k/25) × 5^n

5^n÷25 is common on both side and hence cancel each other

this gives => (25-1) = k

=> k = 24

now , k/3 = 24/3 = 8
