I know only 1 answer. question no 2.
Sati was a cruel process which took place long ago back. when the husband dies the wife is forced to burn in the fire where her husband is being burnt.Even if she does not want to die she was forced to die by the villagers.
Raja Ram mohan rai removed the process of sati.
