GIVEN : O is the centre of the circle.

TO FIND : x

SOLUTION :

In ΔABO,

∠BAO = 80°

By exterior angle property,

∠AOC = ∠ABO + ∠BAO

= 50° + 80°

= 130°

NOW,

ARC AC subtends ∠AOC & ∠ADC

We know that the angle subtended by an arc at the centre of the circle is double the angle subtended by it on the remaining part of the circle.

So, ∠ADC

 \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: = \frac{1}{2} \times 130 \\ \\ = 65

SO, x = 65°

Answer:

As O is the centre of the circle, AB is the diameter, which can be easily seen from the figure and therefore ∠ACB is a semicircular angle.

As we know Semicircular Angles are always Right angles.

∴ The value of x∘ in the following figure is 50∘.

Hope it helps you.
