Given :

⬤ Side of a Cube is 4 cm .

To Find :

⬤ Total Surface Area of Cube .

⬤ Lateral Surface Area of Cube .

Formula Used :

\bf[\:{Total \: Surface \: Area \: of \: Cube = 6{a}^{2}}\:]

  • a = Side

Solution :

According to the Formula :-

  • Side = 4 cm .

6a²

6 × 4 × 4

24 × 4

96

Therefore , Total Surface Area of Cone is 96 cm² .

Formula Used :

\bf[\:{Lateral \: Surface \: Area \: of \: Cube = 4{a}^{2}}\:]

Solution :

According to the Formula :-

  • Side = 4 cm .

4a²

4 × 4 × 4

16 × 4

64

Therefore , Lateral Surface Area of Cube is 64 cm² .

Question :-

Find the surface area and lateral surface area of a cube with side 4 cm.

Answer :-

Total surface area of a cube = 6a²

➩ T.S.A = 6 × 4²

➩ T.S.A = 6 × 16

➩ T.S.A = 96 cm²

Total surface area = 96 cm²

Lateral surface area of a cube = 4a²

➩ L.S.A = 4 × 4²

➩ L.S.A = 4 × 16

➩ L.S.A = 64 cm²

Lateral surface area = 64 cm²

Additional information :-

➩ C.S.A of cuboid = 2(l + b)h

➩ C.S.A of cube = 4a²

➩ C.S.A of cone = πrl

➩ T.S.A of cube = 6a²

➩ T.S.A of cuboid = 2(lb + bh + lh)

➩ T.S.A of cylinder = 2πrh + 2πr²

➩ T.S.A of cone = πrl + πr²

➩ Volume of cuboid = l × b × h

➩ Volume of cube = a³

➩ Volume of cylinder = πr²h

➩ Volume of cone = ⅓ πr²h
