We know that

Area\:of\:a\:triangle=\frac{1}{2}\times b\times h

where b is the base of the triangle, and h is the height of the triangle, i.e. AM.

50=\frac{1}{2}\times10\times h

==> 5h = 50

==> h=\frac{50}{5}

h = 10\: units

Hence, AM = 10 units.

Answer: AM = 10 units
