Given that one zero of the polynomial is 7 times the other.

Let one zero be α, then the other zero will be 7α.

Now,

Given Equation is 3x^2 - 8x + 2k + 1.

Here, a = 3, b = -8, c = 2k + 1

We know that Sum of zeroes = -b/a

= > α + 7α = -(-8)/3

= > 8α = 8/3

= > α = (1/3).

We know that product of zeroes = c/a

= > α * 7α = (2k + 1/3)

= > 7α^2 = (2k + 1)/3

= > 7(1/3)^2 = (2k + 1)/3

= > 7/9 = (2k + 1)/3

= > 21 = 18k + 9

= > 12 = 18k

= > k = (2/3).

Therefore, the value of k = (2/3).

Hope it helps!
