why does cooking food in pressure cooker takes long time in hilly areas?

Pressure cookers take long time to cook in hilly or high areas because the atmospheric pressure in the hilly areas is less than the plains...

On mountains and hilly regions, the air is less dense also the atmospheric pressure is also very less. Bcz of the higher altitude, the air column weight is well reduced. So the pressure is reduced as compared to the sea level or below the mountains. Water has a lower boiling point at a lower temp.It is possible to add salt to water to increase the boiling point on top of hills..

Therefore, it pressure cookers take long time to cook in hilly areas just bcz of the less atmospheric pressure..
