bimetallic strip consists of two metals.... which are fixed between two rigid ends....so whenever they are heated they will expand acc. law of linear expansion....as they were fixed they bend to form a curvature
It's uses are.....it is mainly made to function in refrigerators ...
it is also used in air conditioners....
ex :- a strip of iron and copper ....copper bends in convex part where as iron along concave with copper
