To radicalize the denominator, multiply numerator and denominator with sqrt(2)+3
(7-sqrt(2))(sqrt(2)+3)/(sqrt(2)-3)(sqrt(2)+3)
= (7sqrt(2) + 21 - 2 - 3 sqrt(2))/-7
=(4sqrt(2) + 19)/-7
=(-4/7) sqrt(2) + (-19/7)

By comparing:

x= -4/7
y= -19/7
