The answer for 23 is:-
In order to arrange the books as required, we have to find the largest number that divides 1680 and 1056 exactly.Clearly, such a number is their HCF. We have to find the HCF of 1680 and 1056.
1680=1056×1+624
1056=624×1+432
624=432×1+192
432=192×2+48
192=48×4+0
HCF is 48.
There must be 48 books in each stack.
No.of stacks of Maths books = 1680/48 =35 No.of stacks of Science books=1056/48 =22
